Straight into the mountains

After arriving in Interlaken, we took advantage of the good weather and drove up the nearest valley to Lauterbrunnen, starting point of journeys into the mountains in this area.

The light was fading fast, but we managed to get close up to the Alps and took this picture with the mountains just about visible in the background against the light sky.

We've just learnt that the local ice hockey team SCUI are playing tomorrow night in Interlaken and we will be able to attend before heading into Italy on Thursday morning.

Well done boys, Great Aunt Nellie would be proud of you. Enjoy Switzerland but don't forget to bring back the goods or else Nellie here will turn in her grave, and, likely as not, jump right out of it and kick your teeth in.

Evening!
Cars looking good though looks precariously parked across the road in the pic!!
It's resembling a sorting office here with all the stuff for our off on Thursday! Adam ok now,
enjoy your day off, take lots of pics Mr H!
As always, Mrs H and the lads xx

Hope you like cheese fondue - they serve it four times a day in the Swiss prisons!

hi guys, enjoy interlaken, hope the weather is kind to you. look forward to tomorrow's post. we've been out to parent's evening and then to a nice italian restaurant, which seemed appropriate (there are no swiss restaurants in crosby!!).
PS as nice as the car is, anne says can we have a photo with people in it - i think she's worried that the mini has gone off round europe on its own in a herbie kind of way!!

Hi, I hope you're still enjoying yourselves and are not too tired from all the driving. As you drive into Italy you should wind down the windows and start singing the self preservation society to all the locals. I expect to hear it on the video!! I agree with Bill, some more photo's of you both in the car would be good (or one of you unless you want to leave a stranger with your camera).
Keeping Carla and the kids company in your absence.
lol xx
